Grammenos Mastrojeni currently serves as the Deputy Secretary General for Energy and Climate Action at the Union for the Mediterranean, focusing on multilateral responses to energy and climate challenges in the Mediterranean region. Concurrently, Mastrojeni holds a position at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as the Coordinator for the Environment in Development Cooperation and Head of the Science-Policy Interface, overseeing environmental coherence in development aid programs and representing Italy in various international environmental negotiations. Previous roles include Deputy Head of Mission in Iran, where responsibilities included managing embassy operations and political activities, and similar duties in Canada.
