Jenna Pitera is an accomplished librarian and educational professional with extensive experience in various academic settings. Currently serving as the Instruction Librarian at Union College since December 2022, Jenna previously held the position of Resource Technology Librarian at Albany Medical College and worked as a Science Librarian at Skidmore College, where responsibilities included developing innovative teaching methods in the physical and life sciences and fostering collaborations with faculty. Prior roles include Instructional Designer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where Jenna supported blended educational programs, and Instructional Developer at the University at Albany, focusing on the use of instructional technologies. Additional experience includes serving as Technology and Reference Librarian at Morrill Memorial Library and as a Media and Technology Graduate Assistant at the University of Rhode Island. Jenna holds a Master of Library Science from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY New Paltz.
