Chaya Jayawardane is an accomplished banking professional with extensive experience in retail and consumer banking. Currently serving as Vice President of Retail Banking at Union Bank of Colombo since February 2015, Chaya has previously held key positions at Standard Chartered Bank, including GM of Consumer Banking and GM of Small & Medium Enterprise Banking & Distribution from October 2008 to February 2015. Prior to that role, Chaya worked at HSBC as a Senior Relationship Manager from September 2005 to September 2008 and held various leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank, focusing on business development and transaction banking. Chaya holds a degree from Edith Cowan University, attended from 2003 to 2005.
