Asanka Ranhotty is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in transaction banking and relationship management. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of SME & Transaction Banking at Union Bank of Colombo since May 2019, Asanka has previously held key roles such as Vice President of Global Transaction Banking at Deutsche Bank from January 2008 to April 2019, and Relationship Manager at HSBC for a brief period in 2007. Earlier career positions include Assistant Vice President at National Development Bank PLC, Senior Relationship Manager at Mashreq Bank, and Credit Officer at ANZ Grindlays Bank. Asanka Ranhotty holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Colombo, completed between 2003 and 2005, and received foundational education at Trinity College Kandy from 1978 to 1991.
