David Houben

Directeur Du Collège Agrosciences at Unilasalle Canoas

David Houben currently serves as Directeur du Collège Agrosciences and Enseignant-Chercheur en Science du Sol et Biogéochimie at UniLaSalle since September 2013, focusing on the education of future agronomists and geologists in various subjects related to soil management and ecological projects. In addition to this role, David Houben has been an Associate Professor in Soil Science and Biogeochemistry at Institut Polytechnique LaSalle Beauvais since September 2013. Prior experience includes serving as an expert in soil rehabilitation for the Service public de Wallonie and as a PhD student and research associate at Université catholique de Louvain from October 2007 to November 2012. David Houben holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agronomic Sciences and Biological Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain, complementing a prior degree as a bio-engineer in Soil and Water Resources. Research interests include the biogeochemical cycles of nutrients and metals and the management of organic materials in agro-ecosystems.
