Edmir Silva has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Edmir started their career as an R&D Engineer at Hoechst in 1993 and later worked as an R&D Engineer at Fairway Filamentos from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Unifi Manufacturing, Inc. and held various roles including R&D Manager, Corporate Product Development Manager, Disruptive Technologies Director, Global Innovation Director, and most recently, Brand Sales, Market & Concept Development Director. In 2020, they also served as the General Manager of Unifi Central America. Edmir has also been involved in academia and has held positions such as Adjunct Research Scientist at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Adjunct Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University. Edmir is currently a member of the Consumer, Apparel & Retail Studies Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
