Pietro Guastamacchia is an experienced journalist and political advisor with a strong focus on European and international news. Currently serving as the European News Editor at UNICEPTA since April 2023 and a journalist at ANSA since March 2021, Pietro has reported extensively on the European Parliament. Previous roles include video journalist at Rai and journalist at La7, as well as political advisor for the OSCE, where support was provided to the Special Representative for the South Caucasus. Professional contributions also span work with major outlets such as Sky Italia, Corriere della Sera, and The Washington Post, alongside freelance reporting from Ukraine and the CIS region. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Russian Studies from UCL and a Laurea magistrale in History from Università degli Studi di Milano.
