Karen Bihr is an experienced Project Manager and Economic Affairs Officer at UNCTAD since October 2008, specializing in public finance project management across ten countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. With a background in capacity-building activities in public debt management, Bihr previously served as a DMFAS Trainer at UNCTAD, enhancing governmental debt management in Central America. Additional experience includes an internship at the Ministry of Finance in Honduras and Panama, facilitating a Network on Debt Management for UNCTAD, and volunteering with Heifer Foundation Ecuador. Bihr holds a Master's in International Relations from the University of Strasbourg and a Master's in Political Science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, complemented by an exchange program at the University of La Verne.
