Doris Taylor, Ph.D., is a Field Application Scientist at Unchained Labs since January 2023. Previously, Doris held R&D and project management roles as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Caltech, where significant progress was made on engineering thermostable enzyme biocatalysts and collaboration with organic chemists on enantioconvergent enzyme development. As a Research Mentor at Farmingdale State College, guidance was provided to undergraduate students on antibiotic resistance and antibacterial drug discovery. At Baylor College of Medicine, Doris contributed to the identification of novel antibacterial agents and managed graduate lab operations, enhancing organization and budget efficiency. Doris earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and a BS from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
