Rui De Chua has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, Rui worked as a Contract HR Coordinator at Recruit Express Pte Ltd for a few months. In 2015 and 2016, Rui held Engineering Intern positions at ST Engineering.

In 2017, Rui co-founded Movinc., a company focused on mobility solutions. As a Cofounder, Rui played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and developing the Movinc Motorised wheelchair, coordinating product development, manufacturing, and electronics. Rui also served as a Product Manager and Embedded Software Engineer in the same company until the end of 2018.

From 2019 onwards, Rui joined Ampotech, initially as an Embedded Software Engineer, responsible for software development and integration. Later, Rui expanded their role to become an IoT Engineer, overseeing project infrastructures, operational needs, and integrating the company's products with various platforms such as AWS IoT Core, Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, and others. Eventually, Rui took on the role of Product Lead for AmpoHub from April 2021 until March 2023.

Most recently, Rui joined UnaBiz in 2023 as a Senior Product Manager. In this multifaceted role, Rui is responsible for being a product gatekeeper, evaluating and maintaining IoT sensors used in the company's projects. Rui also leads IoT product development, improving existing products and developing new ones for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, Rui provides technical support for upcoming and existing deployments, assisting team members in addressing issues they face during site deployments.

Rui De Chua completed their education in a chronological order. In 2010 to 2012, they attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic and obtained a Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering with a focus on Electronic and Computer Engineering. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2017, they attended the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Rui De Chua has also achieved additional certifications. In 2009, they completed the Volunteer Service Management Programme at NUS Business School and YMCA. Furthermore, in 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services Training and Certification.
