Dr. Benson Okech serves as the Regional Operations Manager at UN Women, overseeing operations across the Arab States Region since August 2023. With a robust background in operations management, Dr. Okech has held various roles within the United Nations, including Operations Manager for UN Women and Temporary Assignments focusing on office setup and alignment of program operations. As the founder of Taitina Limited, an innovative oil company in Uganda, Dr. Okech demonstrated entrepreneurial acumen by establishing a modern petrol station. Prior experience includes leadership positions in finance at Grameen Foundation, Plan International, World Vision, and Victoria Seeds Limited. Dr. Okech holds a PhD in Financial Management, an MBA, and additional qualifications in monitoring and evaluation, accountancy, and business administration from various institutions.
