Marie-Paule Lorka-Lavri has extensive experience in program management and linguistic services, currently serving as an Executive Associate in the Office of the Executive Secretary at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) since February 2009. Prior roles at UNCCD include Senior Programme Management Assistant and Program Assistant focused on policy advocacy. Additionally, Marie-Paule worked as an Interpreter & Linguistic Supervisor for the Secrétariat Franco-Allemand pour les échanges professionnels from March 2003 to April 2007. Marie-Paule holds a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Translation, and Interpretation from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
