Sohel Pasha is an experienced professional in strategy, collaboration, and communication, currently serving as an Associate Programme Officer at the UNFCCC since June 2011, focusing on stakeholder engagement and capacity building. From June 2008 to May 2011, Sohel worked as an Instructor and Assessor at Berlitz Japan, teaching English and assessing language proficiency. Prior to that, Sohel was a Policy Analyst at the Institute for Global Environmental Research from October 2006 to May 2011, providing advice on mitigation and adaptation policies. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Climate Change from The University of Tokyo (2004-2006), a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (1997-2003), and PRINCE2 and Stakeholder Engagement Practitioner certifications from APM Group (2015).
