Dr. Carina Harms is an accomplished professional in public administration and integration services, currently serving as Abteilungsleiterin Zentrale Dienste at Umweltbundesamt since August 2023. Previously, Dr. Harms held the position of Kommissarische Präsidentin at Landesamt für Flüchtlingsangelegenheiten Berlin from November 2022 to August 2023 and served as Abteilungsleiterin Zentraler Service at Landesamt für Flüchtlingsangelegenheiten from March 2021 to February 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Gruppenleiterin focusing on digitalization at Senatsverwaltung für Integration, Arbeit und Soziales, project management, and various leadership positions at institutions such as Bertelsmann Stiftung and Behörde für Wissenschaft und Forschung. Dr. Harms received a doctorate in Political Science from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg between 1997 and 2007.
