Kelsey Lynch is a Senior Scientist at Umoja Biopharma, with previous experience as a Scientist in the same organization since December 2021. Prior to this, Kelsey held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Fred Hutch, where research focused on the role of chromatin factors in adenoviral exploitation of host cell cycle progression, under the mentorship of Daphne Avgousti, PhD. Kelsey earned a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington, where extensive research on DNA replication and genome stability was conducted as a Graduate Research Assistant, resulting in a first-author publication. Earlier positions included Research Professional I at the University of Georgia, managing independent research and mentoring students, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant role at the University of Oregon, concentrating on DNA methylation in Neurospora crassa. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College.
