Joseph Walls is a seasoned lighting professional with extensive experience in educational and performance settings. Currently serving as a Faculty Lecturer and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan since January 2021, Joseph has also held the role of Lighting Supervisor at COMPLEXIONS Contemporary Ballet from January 2020 to August 2024. Joseph’s career includes positions as an Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University and Utah Valley University, alongside Lighting Supervisor roles with Atlanta Ballet and Inland Pacific Ballet. Further experience includes Head Electrician at The Washington Ballet and Resident Lighting Designer at Chautauqua Dance, complemented by internships and early roles in various theaters. Joseph earned a BFA in Lighting Design from the University of Michigan between 2004 and 2008.
