Brian DeSpain has a diverse work history in the construction industry. Brian is currently the President of UMA Geotechnical Construction, Inc., where they are responsible for managing and assisting in the growth and development of the company. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President, overseeing the expansion of the business and securing new projects.
Before their time as Vice President, Brian worked as the Operation Director at UMA Geotechnical Construction, where they directed and managed various aspects of the organization, including designing and building spec-liked grouting equipment and developing safety programs. Brian also improved efficiency by reorganizing the business unit and coordinating cross-functional productivity through a unified project management framework.
Brian has also held roles as a Project Manager and in Sales at UMA Geotechnical Construction, where they managed and supervised crews on projects of various sizes. Brian has experience in large commercial, DOD, DOT, and international micropile projects, as well as soil stabilization and slope stabilization.
Additionally, Brian has worked as an Operations Crew Supervisor and gained drilling and grouting experience, specializing in heavy machinery operation. Brian has operated drilling equipment for soil grouting, dam stabilization, soil nailing, micro piles, and excavation support systems. Brian has also received training in the operation of various drilling equipment.
Outside of UMA Geotechnical Construction, Brian has served as a Board Member for Stratton Oakmont Properties and ADSC International Association of Foundation Drilling.
Brian DeSpain received their Bachelor's Degree in Logistics from East Carolina University in 2006.
