Aabid Shamji has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Aabid is currently working at Ultraviolet as the Lead - Special Projects, focusing on FinTech, AI/ML, and Web3 initiatives. Prior to that, Aabid worked as a Technical Product Manager at Ultraviolet, where they developed innovative blockchain solutions and implemented AI-driven systems. Aabid also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Ultraviolet.

Before joining Ultraviolet, Aabid served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa and as a Software Engineer Intern at SNAPP Analytics. Aabid also worked at Grinnell College in multiple roles, including Student Liaison, Deep Learning Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Information Technology Consultant, and Data Science Intern.

Aabid also has experience in iOS development, having worked as a Senior iOS Engineer and iOS Developer at Grinnell AppDev. Additionally, they gained software engineering experience as an intern at Quantum-fig.

Aabid Shamji has a strong educational background in computer science. From 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Computer Science (MCS) degree at the University of Iowa, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, Aabid attended Grinnell College where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science. During their time at Grinnell, they also studied Neuroscience and Statistics. In 2018 to 2019, Aabid had a study abroad experience at AIT-Budapest. Before commencing their higher education, from 2010 to 2016, Aabid attended the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Additionally, Aabid holds a certification as an Open Water Diver, which they obtained in July 2017 through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI).
