Tim Spears has a diverse range of work experiences spanning over two decades. Tim started their career in 1991 as a Systems Engineer for First National Bank, where they worked on technology innovations until 1994. Tim then moved to Paradigm Systems Technology, where they served as a Development Leader until 1998. Following this, they joined Paradigm Logistic Systems as a Senior Technical Consultant until 2000. In 1999, Tim worked as an MPS Contractor for Sabre. Since 2000, they have been working as the Vice President of Onboard Systems at Ultramain Systems, Inc.

Tim Spears completed a Graduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand between 1993 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computer Science and Physics with Electronics from Rhodes University, completing it between 1988 and 1992.
