Ehud Amitai is an accomplished algorithm developer currently working at Ultima Genomics, an innovative startup focused on DNA sequencing and personalized medicine since September 2020. Prior experience includes a role as an algorithm/application development engineer at KLA from December 2018 to June 2020, where advanced applications and algorithms for sub-nanometer overlay microscopy were researched and developed. As a PhD researcher at the University of Basel from November 2014 to July 2018, Ehud contributed to theoretical studies in condensed matter and quantum computing, alongside serving as a teaching assistant for several physics courses. Additional research experience encompasses a graduate research student position at Freie Universität Berlin and experimental work on micro thin-film solar cells at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Basel, a Master's Degree in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University.
