Ryan Derrick has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ryan began their career in 2015 as a Jr. Project Manager at ActioNet, Inc. Ryan then worked as a Consultant at Atlas Research from September 2016 to October 2018. In November 2018, they joined Ball Aerospace as a Project Controls Analyst until July 2019. From July 2019 to February 2021, they served as a Project Controls Specialist II at Xcel Energy. Since August 2022, they have been an Associate Project Manager at Ulteig. In addition to their civilian career, Ryan has also served as an Officer in the United States Army Reserve since May 2014.

Ryan Derrick has a diverse educational background. Ryan graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Big Data and Social Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ryan has also completed additional certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in November 2017. Ryan also holds a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine, which they obtained in December 2013. Currently, Ryan is pursuing an MBA degree at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, which they are expected to complete in 2024. In the past, they also completed a Wilderness First Responder and Wind River Mountaineering program at NOLS, although the specific years are unknown.
