Paul Deutsch, PE has a diverse range of work experience. Paul started their career as an Umpire for the Fargo Babe Ruth League Inc. where they managed games and taught young players about sportsmanship. Paul then worked as a Government Documents Assistant at the North Dakota State University Libraries, where they processed and shelved federal deposits and provided assistance to library users.
Paul's engineering career began as an Engineering Technician at Northern Technologies, Inc., where they conducted tests on soil and concrete to enforce project specifications. Paul then became a Graduate Student Design Assistant at the NDDOT Support Center, designing highway and interstate plan sets under the supervision of a certified Transportation Engineer.
Continuing their academic pursuits, Paul served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at NDSU Civil Engineering, where they taught students how to effectively use Microstation/GEOPAK to design road construction projects. Paul also created proposed alignments, cross-sections, and cost estimates for a class project.
Currently, Paul is working at Ulteig as a Design & Traffic Engineer, utilizing their experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, road design, construction inspection, and pavement condition assessments. Paul specializes in traffic operations and impact studies.
Overall, Paul has gained valuable experience in both teaching and engineering roles, focusing on traffic engineering and design.
Paul Deutsch, PE completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering at North Dakota State University from 2007 to 2011. Paul then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Transportation and Traffic Engineering at the same university from 2011 to 2016. In 2010, Paul obtained their Engineer Intern (EIT) certification from NCEES. Currently, it is unknown whether they have obtained their Profession Engineer (P.E) certification.
