Galen Teerink has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Galen began their career as a Business Partner at T & S Construction LLC in 1988, where they worked until 2003. In 2003, they started their own company, Teerink Construction LLC, as an Owner/Operator, managing and coordinating all phases of construction projects until 2006.

In 2009, Galen joined Xcel Energy as a Substation Engineering - Civil/Electrical Designer I. In this role, they actively collaborated with other designers and engineers in substation design, updated design standards and documentation, developed procedures and guidelines for the civil/structural design department, and worked with construction on solving design issues during construction. Galen was later promoted to the position of Substation Engineering Civil/Electrical Designer ll, where they continued their work in substation design, document control, and supplier/vendor management until 2017.

Since 2017, Galen has been employed at Ulteig as a Senior Engineering Technician. Further details about their role at this company are not provided.

In 1981, Galen Teerink obtained a Diploma in Residential Construction from Jackson Area Technical College. From 2008 to 2010, they pursued an Associates degree in Civil Structural Engineering Tech from Chippewa Valley Technical College. In 2012, Galen continued their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing a Professional Development program in Principles of Substation and Construction.
