Scott R.L. Benson serves as the Assistant Public Health Engineer for Ulster County since November 2021 and has been the owner of Hudson Valley Bagpipe since August 2017, where sales, supplies, and service for bagpipes are provided. Additionally, Scott holds the positions of Pipe Sergeant and Musical Director for the Ulster County AOH Pipe and Drum Band since 2007, overseeing various musical and organizational duties. As a professional musician with Celtic Bagpiping, services for special events such as weddings are offered. Prior experience includes roles at ErtelAlsop as Product Manager, Sales Engineer, and Applications Engineer, focusing on designing filter systems, as well as logistics management at Paper House Productions. Scott has also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in multiple organizations, including TransCare and Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, delivering critical care in emergencies. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an Associate's degree in Engineering from Ulster County Community College.
