Dr. Daniel Liang is an accomplished professional in power engineering, currently serving as the Head of Section and Principal at UL since August 2019. With expertise developed since 2006, Daniel's prior roles include Senior Consultant and Energy Storage Service Lead at DNV GL - Energy, Senior Smart Grid Engineer at Durham University, Smart Grid Project Leader at Nanyang Technological University, Lead Project Engineer at Schneider Electric, and Engineer at ABB. Daniel has contributed significantly to various projects, including the UK's largest smart grid initiative and advanced automation systems. Daniel holds a PhD in Automation Control from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
