Michelle McCoy, CWCP, serves as the Health Safety Environmental and Training Specialist III at Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation since March 2010. In this role, Michelle is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive occupational health, safety, environmental, and training programs for over 50 subsidiaries. Key responsibilities include managing HSET injury cases, ensuring compliance with Alaska Worker’s Compensation law and OSHA standards, investigating incidents, and developing policies to enhance workplace safety. Prior to this role, Michelle held positions as Senior Administrator and Administrative Assistant within the same corporation and worked as a Medical Clerk at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health and an Associate of Applied Science in the same field from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Educational background includes a high school diploma from Barrow High School.
