Moshe Ben-David has had a varied career in the scientific field. In 2002, they held a student position at Achla R&D of the Strauss Group in Karmiel, Israel, where they generated statistical data of organoleptic evaluation for improved/newly-developed cold salads and assisted in the development and analysis of new salad products. In 2004, they interned at the Weizmann Institute of Science under the supervision of Prof. Vivian Teichberg in the Department of Neurobiology, where they improved the Glutamate-scavenging activity of Aspartate Aminotransferase using structure-based protein engineering approaches. From 2013-2015, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto working with Prof. Sachdev Sidhu, where their research projects involved the design and generation of synthetic proteins to serve as tools for studying and manipulating protein-protein interaction in the GPCRs signaling pathways. In 2015, they became Regional Manager for ScienceAbroad, the organization of Israeli scientists abroad. Since 2017, they have been with Ukko, where they have held the positions of Chief Technology Officer, VP R&D, and Director of Protein Engineering.
Moshe Ben-David completed their Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology Engineering at Braude Academic College between 2001 and 2004. Moshe then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Structural Biology and Proteomics at the Weizmann Institute of Science, which they completed between 2005 and 2008. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Protein Engineering and Structural Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science between 2008 and 2012.
