Richard Holliday

Richard Holliday has extensive work experience in research contract management, intellectual property, and commercialization. Richard is currently the Head of Research Contracts, IP & Commercialization at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), where they are responsible for developing new commercial products and maximizing the impact of research and innovation. Prior to this, they worked as the Manager Entrepreneurship/Business Programmes at the Royal Society of Chemistry and as the Chief Operating Officer/SVP Business Development & Intellectual Property at Bodle Technologies. Richard also held leadership positions at Oxford University Innovation and the World Gold Council, where they managed global innovation programs, negotiated research agreements, and led venture investments. In addition, they served as a Corporate Investor & Board Observer at Nanostellar and worked in roles related to materials engineering at Land Rover, BMW, and Corus Steel.

Richard Holliday completed their education from 1982 to 1989 at Uckfield Community College. Richard then attended Swansea University from 1989 to 1996, where they obtained a BEng and EngD degree in Materials Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Fellow of IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining) in 2010 and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
