Artur Fojud serves as the Head of Research and Innovation in the Rail System Department at the UIC - International Union of Railways since January 2021, where leadership is provided in global research and innovation development and collaboration between the rail sector and academia. Fojud also chairs the Small Stations Group within the UIC Passenger Department and has significant experience in managing research and innovation projects, including leading the Sustainable and Green Rail System initiative within the EU RAIL JU partnership at PKP S.A., where the role of Project Director and Head of the Research, Development and Digitalisation Office has been held. Previous positions include management roles at Fineo Ltd., RND Joint-stock company, and various academic appointments at Poznan University of Technology. Fojud holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, with additional postgraduate studies in Database Systems and Urban Studies.
