William Hilgendorf has an extensive work experience. William currently serves as the Creative Director at ELDR SIX since January 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded FARO Collective in January 2021 and Wilderkill Retreat in June 2017. William also co-founded UHURU DESIGN in November 2003. Their roles in these companies demonstrate their expertise in creative direction and entrepreneurship.

William Hilgendorf attended Milton Academy from 1994 to 1998. William then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1998 to 2002. In 1999, while at the Rhode Island School of Design, William also studied Environmental Studies and Modern Culture & Media at Brown University, completing their studies in 2001. William furthered their studies in Industrial Design by attending Konstfack from 2000 to 2001.
