Louise Matheson is a seasoned professional in the construction and architectural sectors, currently serving as a Lecturer in Construction Technology at UHI Inverness since November 2022. Prior to this role, Louise owned and managed The Dumfries Larder Ltd, a delicatessen specializing in gourmet offerings, from November 2017 to March 2024. With extensive experience as a Corporate Property Asset Manager (Interim) and Property Manager at Highland Council, Louise demonstrated leadership in managing property portfolios and initiatives aimed at sustainability. As the Property & Architectural Services Manager for Dumfries and Galloway Council, Louise oversaw a team of over 40 staff, contributing to significant projects such as the Dumfries Asset Plan. Earlier career positions included Head of Project and Marine Services for Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar and various architectural roles in leading firms, solidifying expertise in project management, architectural design, and asset management across diverse sectors. Louise holds an Architectural Practice degree from London South Bank University and a BSc(Hons) from the University of Strathclyde.
