Melissa Remmel has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Certificate of Completion from Paul Ambrose in 2007. Melissa then worked as a Customer Service Representative at ScanCafe, Inc. from 2006-2007. From 2009-2023, Melissa held various roles at San Jose State University, Peer Connections, S.C.O.P.E., Core Diagnostics, Inc., Wako Diagnostics, Quartzy, Inc., and Inflammatix, Inc. Her roles included Lead Tutor, Associate Director, Connections Project Team Leader, Research Associate, Research Specialist, Life Science Product Specialist, Scientist, Scientist II, and Scientist III. Most recently, Melissa has been a Scientist at Uh-Oh Labs since 2023.

Melissa Remmel earned their Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Concentration in Systems Physiology from San Jose State University in 2011. Melissa then continued their education at San Jose State University, earning their Master's Degree in Biological Sciences, Concentration of Molecular Biology and Microbiology in 2016.
