Martin Kemper has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they were an IRTA Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Intramural Research Program (IRP). From 2017 to 2022, they were employed at the Maryland Department of Health Laboratories Administration, where they held three roles: Public Health Laboratory Scientist - Supervisor, Public Health Scientist - Lead, and Public Health Laboratory Scientist III. In 2022, they began working as a Scientist at Uh-Oh Labs.

Martin Kemper obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles between 2002 and 2006. Martin then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology from UC Irvine between 2007 and 2012.
