James P. Clear has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry spanning multiple roles and companies. James P. started their career at Ohio Casualty Group in 1981 as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Supervisor. James P. then moved on to become a Senior Marketing Representative at the same company from 1990 to 2008. In 2008, Clear joined Ohio Mutual Insurance Group as a Territory Field Manager until 2012. James P. then worked at Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company as a Business Development Representative from 2012 to 2017. Currently, Clear is employed at UFG Insurance, where they have held positions as a Senior Commercial Underwriter since 2017, followed by roles as a Production Marketing Representative and most recently as a Senior Marketing Representative.

James P. Clear attended Xavier University from 1975 to 1979, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Marketing.
