Matt Jones began their work experience in 2011 at Vodafone, where they worked as a Business Analyst. During their time there, they successfully delivered the agreement of project scope for the Vodafone UK 4G Network Launch and was responsible for drafting business requirements. Matt also managed risks, issues, and technical constraints impacting the entire Vodafone UK customer base. Additionally, they served as a Vodafone Supplier Conference Project Manager, taking the conference from conception to delivery within budget and on time. Matt negotiated deals with suppliers, integrated new products and services, and received positive feedback from stakeholders. In 2015, Jones joined UEFA as a Business Analyst. No specific end date was provided for their role at UEFA.

Matt Jones attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the UEFA Diploma in Football Leadership and Management from UEFA in November 2022, the UEFA Certificate of Football Management from UEFA in August 2020, and the Business Analysis Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in February 2014.
