Arthur Reed has over 30 years of work experience in the broadcast engineering field. Arthur currently works at UEFA as a Broadcast Engineer since May 2021. Prior to that, Arthur worked as a Freelance Broadcast Engineer and Technical Manager since 2002, where they were involved in various sports events such as the Indian Premier League, Australian Open, Asian Games, and Nidhas Trophy. Arthur also had roles as a Broadcast Systems Engineer at Foxtel from 2009 to 2020, a Broadcast Engineer at Gearhouse Broadcast from 2006 to 2008, and a Broadcast Engineer at Broadcast Solutions from 2003 to 2005. Arthur's career began in 1982 at SABC, where they worked as a Senior Engineer until 1998. Arthur also worked as a System Engineer at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University from 1998 to 2003.

Arthur Reed attended Northern Cape Technical High School from 1969 to 1974. After completing their high school education, they pursued a field of study in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician at Nelson Mandela University, although the specific years are not provided. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Red Hat Systems Administrator from Red Hat in June 2014 and MCSE from Microsoft South Africa in March 1998.
