Joan Zoltanski, MD, MBA, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Interim President at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals since November 2022. Prior to this role, Joan held several leadership positions at University Hospitals Health System, including Chief Health Officer, where responsibilities included leading the organization's strategy on employee and community health as well as operational oversight of a health insurance plan. Additional roles at University Hospitals included Chief Experience Officer and System Physician Advisor for the Quality Institute. Joan's earlier experience encompasses serving as Medical Director for physician credentialing and verification, as well as working as a critical care physician at UH Rainbow Babies & Childrenā€™s and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Joan Zoltanski earned a Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and an MBA in Economics and Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
