Michael Waterstone currently serves as the Dean of the UCLA School of Law, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Michael held several prominent positions at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, including Dean and Senior Vice President of Loyola Marymount University from July 2006 to July 2023, as well as serving as Associate Dean and Law Professor. Additionally, Michael was a Visiting Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law from August 2014 to July 2015 and served as a Law Professor at the University of Mississippi from July 2003 to May 2006. Michael began a legal career as an attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson from December 1999 to June 2003. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, obtained in 1999, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA, completed in 1995.
