Csilla Sipeky is a Genetics Lead in Translational Medicine at UCB, focusing on pharmacogenetic strategies and genetic target identification for Neuroscience and Autoimmune Therapeutic Areas since September 2020. Sipeky has held various academic and industry positions, including Guest Professor at the University of Pécs Medical School in 2022 and Invited Industry Lecturer at Université libre de Bruxelles in 2021. Previous roles include Associate Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University of Turku, where expertise in pharmacogenomics, cancer genetics, and biomarker discovery was developed from 2015 to 2020. Sipeky co-founded Personmed Finland, serving as CEO and Genetic Advisor, and has held research positions at institutions such as Szentágothai Research Centre and Oxford Gene Technology. Educational qualifications include a Docent in Molecular Genetics, a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences with a focus on Pharmacogenomics, and dual Master’s degrees in Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of Pécs.
