Sebastian Vargas is the current Chief of Operations at UC Santa Barbara. Sebastian has also previously worked as an intern at Northrop Grumman and as the President of Rocket Propulsion Laboratory at UCSB. Sebastian Vargas has also shadowed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Mars Curiosity Rover Project at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Sebastian Vargas is a mechanical engineer who specializes in propulsion. Sebastian attended UC Santa Barbara for their undergraduate degree and then went on to University of California, Berkeley for their graduate degree in mathematics.

They are on a team with and Abed Musaffar - Team Lead. Sebastian Vargas reports to Board of Advisors, Venturi Astrolab, Professor Hawkes, Nicholas Naclerio. Kyle Ivey - Lunar Environment Expert, Jefferson Cam - Excavation and Containment Lead, and Alexis Frias - Excavation and Containment Lead report to Sebastian Vargas.
