Steve Roylance

Senior Vice President, Identity Services (RapidLEI) at Ubisecure

Steve Roylance has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steve started their career as a Procurement Engineer at ICL in 1990, and then moved on to work as a Marketing Manager at Fujitsu Components Europe B.V. from 1998 to 2003. At Fujitsu, they successfully increased profitability and streamlined the product portfolio in the UK operation.

Afterwards, Steve joined Comodo in 2003 as a Technical Marketing Director, where they played a key role in creating the CABForum and expanding Comodo's PKI Portfolio. Steve also secured a grant for the development of a hardware-based keyboard controller.

In 2005, Steve worked as a Business Development Director at GeoTrust before transitioning to GlobalSign in 2006. At GlobalSign, they initially managed the Business Development teams in different regions and also held responsibilities for strategic projects and partnerships. Steve played a crucial role in maintaining relationships with the CABForum, browsers, and overseeing WebTrust certification. Additionally, Steve led offline PKI processes and managed teams across the organization.

Starting in 2017, Steve joined Base 10 Ventures as a Technology Advisor, focusing on providing support and guidance to startup companies in the field of identity management and cybersecurity technology. Concurrently, they also held roles at Ubisecure as a Senior Vice President, where they oversaw Identity Services and held a leadership position.

Throughout their career, Steve Roylance has demonstrated expertise in strategic business development, marketing, and project management across various industries.

Steve Roylance attended Trentham High School from 1981 to 1984. Afterward, they pursued a BEng(Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Aston University from 1986 to 1990. In terms of additional certifications, Steve obtained WebTrust and PKI Principles in 2012/2013 from the GlobalSign Training Department.
