Will Shih has a strong background in robotics software development and engineering. Will is currently working as a Robotics Software Developer at Ubiquiti Inc. since April 2022. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Spatial Topology Co., Ltd. from November 2021 to March 2022.

Prior to their role at Spatial Topology Co., Ltd., Will worked as a Robotics Engineer at National Taiwan University from November 2018 to October 2021. During their time there, they received the 2022 Taiwan Excellence Award for their work on the ADATA-AMR500, an industry-academia cooperation mobile robot. Will was responsible for designing and building navigation strategies, developing low-level hardware communication drivers, and implementing multiple mobile robot cooperative functions and working procedures.

Will also gained experience as an Intern at Spatial Topology Co., Ltd. in April 2017, where they worked on vacuum cleaner robot control software, SLAM improvement, and designing cleaning strategies. Additionally, they had an internship at Quanta Storage Inc. in July 2016, where they developed robot motion control software, implemented EtherCAT Master, and integrated various software packages for robot arm control.

Overall, Will Shih has extensive experience in robotics software development and engineering, with a strong focus on ROS (Robot Operating System) and Linux.

Will Shih obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Taiwan University, which they completed from 2013 to 2016. Will then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at National Taiwan University from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their academic qualifications, Will Shih has also obtained several certifications from Udemy. In 2022, they completed courses such as "Go: The Complete Developer's Guide (Golang)," "Docker for the Absolute Beginner - Hands On - DevOps," "Understanding APIs and RESTful APIs Crash Course," "DevOps , CI/CD(Continuous Integration/Delivery for Beginners," "Makefile and GNU make for C/C++ Projects on Linux systems," and "Puppet for the Absolute Beginners - Hands-on - DevOps."
