Pavel Merzlyakov has a solid work experience in various roles and companies. Pavel started their career in 2009 as an Engineer at the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia. Pavel then worked as a Scientific Assistant from 2012 to 2013 at the same institute. In 2013, Pavel joined Accenture as a Software Engineering Associate and later became a Software Engineering Analyst in 2014. Pavel then joined Tieto in 2015 as a Programmer, and continued working there until 2017. Currently, Pavel is employed at Ubiquiti Networks as a Software Engineer.

Pavel Merzlyakov earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from the University of Latvia from 2006 to 2009. Pavel then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from Latvijas Universitate from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they obtained another Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Latvia from 2011 to 2013.
