Karlis Keiris has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Karlis started their career in 2000 as a Sound Engineer at Bizness & Baltija and then worked as a Technical Support and Software Tester at Discomix 2000. Karlis also worked as a DJ at Tax Free. In 2002, they worked as a Sound Engineer at Studija Efekts. From 2003 to 2006, they worked at Delfi Internet and Microlink Latvia in roles related to servicedesk support and IT helpdesk management. From 2006 to 2014, Karlis worked at Lattelecom, where they held multiple roles including IT Helpdesk Manager, Project Manager, Data Solutions Expert, and Management Systems Expert. In 2014, they joined Visma Enterprise Latvia as an IT Manager. Currently, Karlis is working as an Engineer at Ubiquiti Networks, a position they have held since 2015.

Karlis Keiris has a background in Business Administration and Management, General from Banku Augstskola. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications from Cisco and EXIN. In 2005, they achieved the EXIN Foundation certificate in IT-Service management ITIL. Subsequently, in 2007, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate. In 2010, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless certification, and in 2013, they achieved the Cisco Certified Associate Voice certification.
