Alex Fomins began their career as a Senior Programmer at Point Transaction Systems, SIA in July 2005. Alex worked there until January 2007. In January 2007, they joined Accenture as an Analyst Programmer and stayed there until December 2014. In January 2015, they joined Ubiquiti Networks as a Software Developer and continues to work there.

Alex Fomins earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) between the years 2001 and 2005.
