Jeff’s passion for environmental sustainability was realized while earning his B.S. in Horticulture at Purdue University. From there, he went on to obtain an M.S. in Horticulture & Crop Science from The Ohio State University, where he researched the effects of rhizosphere acidity on growth and nutrient uptake of hydroponic leafy greens at a cultivar-specific level. Jeff has professional experience in both crop research and production, having grown edible, ornamental, and medicinal crops using soilless cultivation methods under various controlled environment settings. These experiences have led him to believe that advancing controlled environment technologies is critical to supporting future generations.
