Scott Lai has worked in the software engineering field since 2006. Scott began their career at Rohde & Schwarz as a Sales Engineer, then moved to J-MEX in 2008 as a Principal Engineer. In 2012, they joined Insyde Software as a Senior Software Engineer. Scott then moved to WHALETEQ CO., LTD in 2013, where they held the same role. In 2014, they became Software Manager at AcoMo Technology, then Senior Software Engineer at ThroughTek Co., Ltd. in 2015. In 2016, they joined MiCareo, Inc. as Deputy Technical Manager, and most recently, in 2020, they became Senior Software Engineer at Ubiik Inc.

Scott Lai obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University between 1998 and 2002. In 2016, they obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certification.
