Shanshan Song is a Senior Director of Engineering at Uber, overseeing the Platform Engineering's Storage, Search, and Data organization, managing approximately 500 engineers across multiple locations. Previously, Shanshan served as Senior R&D Director at VMware, leading the Cloud storage team and delivering on top initiatives, and held various roles including R&D Director, Senior R&D Manager, and R&D Manager within the organization. Shanshan's earlier experience includes significant contributions at Oracle Corporation, progressing from Member Of Technical Staff to Software Development Manager, focusing on database recovery and high availability. Shanshan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, completed an Engineering Leadership Professional Program at the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
