Kuang Xu is a Senior Staff Applied Scientist at Uber, focusing on data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for the Uber Marketplace, currently on sabbatical from Stanford University, where Kuang serves as an Associate Professor with Tenure at the Graduate School of Business. Previous roles include Chief Science Advisor at Shipt, where Kuang designed recommendation systems for Target Last Mile Delivery, and Senior Data Science Advisor at Uber Freight, responsible for developing a dynamic pricing system now in production. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
