Arthur Speirs is a mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership and design. Currently serving as Captain for UBC Baja SAE since September 2022, Arthur leads a team of 25 engineering students in the design, construction, and racing of an off-road vehicle, focusing on project coordination and management. Previously, as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Takachar, Arthur spearheaded mechanical design initiatives, enhancing machine efficiency through innovative CAD modeling and manufacturing projects. Arthur began a career path as a Manufacturing Assistant at Hansen Industries Ltd., gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and CNC operation. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Integrated Engineering from The University of British Columbia and prior study in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
